directions
Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise in a bowl until thoroughly combined. This is much easier to do after the cream cheese has softened! Stir in onions, chives, blue cheese and cayenne pepper. Using a 1 1/2 - 2 inch cookie cuter, cut bread slices into rounds. Spread approximately two teaspoons of the cheese mixture onto each round.
Place the puffs on a baking sheet and freeze. You can layer the puff in multiple layers with a piece of parchment or wax paper in between layers.
When ready to bake, heat oven to 350 degrees. Add baking sheet directly from the freezer. Bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika and serve immediately.
Notes
The next time I make this I am going to play with the amounts and add crab and artichoke to try to emulate the crab and artichoke dip from the Tombs in Georgetown!
