Fast and Easy, Comfort Food, Can Be Prepared Ahead
Start to Finish:
Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator about an hour before you are ready to make this recipe. Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook sausage according to package directions, and drain on paper towels. Chop into crumbles. While sausage is cooking, mince the garlic and prepare the rest of the ingredients. DO NOT drain the tomatoes—use the juices in the dip.
Mix ingredients in an oven safe dish and bake for 10 minutes.
We suggest buying uncooked sausage and cooking it in a frying pan, but you can also buy precooked sausage and heat it up in a frying pan or in the microwave. Consider also substituting turkey breakfast sausage or veggie breakfast sausage.
If you can't find Ro*tel brand canned tomatoes, you can just dice fresh tomatoes or use canned diced tomatoes.
If you want the recipe to be spicier, add another jalapeño or use serrano peppers instead.
